Scott Weider has been flying kites for over 30 years. Rooted in sport kite competition, he has earned multiple U.S. national titles in both indoor and outdoor individual and team championships.
Scott currently serves at Team USA Captain for the World Kite Cup 2026 sport kite competition in Berck-sur-Mer, France, taking place in April 2026. He has also served as an international judge for the Wuhan World Kite Cup 2025 and the World Kite Cup 2024.
In addition to his competitive accomplishments, Scott has performed with sport kites across the globe. Notably, he has been featured Kiteman performer at Disney World in Florida, the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, in Doha, Qatar, at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., and with professional production companies in shows ranging from street performances to Broadway productions. His performances have captivated audiences worldwide, and he takes great joy in encouraging audience participation.

For Scott, kiting is a lifelong passion, and he considers the freedom to express performance art through sport kites around the world both a privilege and an honor.
