Mike has been flying kites for over 25 years. In the beginning, he dedicated much of his time to building kites and learning the intricacies of their construction. He shares his passion with his community by hosting a three-day event each year, the Jamestown Kite Fest, which attracts kite enthusiasts from across the nation as well as international guests. In addition, Mike helps promote the sport of kite flying by assisting other communities in planning their own kiting events. He is also the founder of the Wing On String Kite Club in Jamestown, North Dakota, where he continues to inspire new generations of kite flyers.
