Grant has been flying kites for at least 55 years and has been building kites for 27 of those years. He has taught kite-making classes in Illinois, Oregon, and Washington over the past 20 years. Grant’s first show kite was his red midi-gecko, a tenth-anniversary gift from his wife, and he has been adding to his collection ever since. He has flown kites at festivals in Michigan, Oregon, Ohio, Canada, and Denmark. Grant is an active member of the Hoosier Kitefliers Society, and after moving to Indiana, he has flown kites all around the state. Grant has flown kites every year at Okoboji since 2021, and he can’t wait to once again join the #BojiKites team on the ice!
