AWITA Kite Team

Angers, France

AWITA – All Ways in The Air is a renowned French kite team from Angers, created in 1988 by a group of passionate friends. Born from the legacy of Team Kéops, a former world vice-champion in sport kite flying, AWITA has since evolved into one of Europe’s leading forces in giant show kites. With a vision rooted in art, joy, and togetherness, the team brings color, movement, and magic to the skies.

AWITA consists of eight members – including twins Sylvain and Nicolas, their wives Blandine and Aline, and their children. Their strong family spirit gives every performance a welcoming, human touch, where all generations take part in flying, setup, and engaging with audiences.

The team holds Europe’s largest private collection of giant kites, showcasing a spectacular menagerie. Each flight is not just a display, but a floating art installation – vivid, immersive, and poetic. Every year, AWITA performs at more than 20 international festivals.

The team’s motto – All Ways in the Air – reflects more than just flying: it’s about adapting, sharing, and embracing the wind, even when it’s unpredictable. Though the members come from varied professions, they are united by a deep, enduring passion.

With over 30 years of experience, AWITA continues to enchant skies around the world, offering unforgettable moments that bridge the earth and the imagination
